League History
Established in 1991, the Central Piedmont Football League has its roots in other leagues and organizations dating back several decades. First established as an affiliation of teams in Chatham and Randolph Counties, the League began to expand to include other municipal and private organizations in the neighboring counties of Central North Carolina. Since its inception, the CPFL has continued to grow and now offers playing opportunities through 20 local organizations located in Chatham, Davidson, Durham, Guilford, Moore, Orange and Randolph Counties.
